Yes Bayside Corals had about 10 or so very nice clams and at a fair price

MMAX 03-02-2009 02:44 PM

What did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking?

Good Buy

Clams are addicting, one turns to two turns to three . Just need some good light, and to make sure your levels stay constant ( I run ALK at about 7.5 and my CA at 370 PPM) and all 3 of my clams seem to love it. If you can get into making some phyto then your whole tank, expecially the clams will love it.

How do I get my clam to stay up on the rock work??? It has fallen twice now on its own doing, not by a fish or snail.

Any thoughts??

clams will try to move around to find desirable conditions, there may be something he doesn't like in the spot you have chosen. as recommended by others, half bury a small flat rock ( or similar ) down in the sand and place the clam on top, he will attach in time if he's happy. then you can move the clam and his rock around in the tank.

what type of lighting and how much flow do you have??

ocean diver 03-05-2009 01:53 AM

I think I found the spot where it likes, it looks good and hasn't moved. So how long does it take for it to grab hold with its foot?
