I'm a different Mitch, Clinton.....
Welded steel, eh? It wouldn't take much of a difference to make the bottom glass break, given the short amount of time that the tank was set up. Styrofoam may have helped with any high spots. Mitch |
Opps, soory just tring to get to the bottom so to speak of the matter. I really don't think there was any high spots as the plywood was finished and cover the whole stand and the tank sat flat on the wood.

I wish I could help more. But it's pretty hard without seeing the stand in person.
Good luck. Maybe there's a warranty on the tank if you purchased it brand new. Mitch |
Clinton that really bites man  , I just setup a tank for a friend a few weeks back and I had a crack too, so I had to start with another tank. It wasn't that bad though, just learned the hard way how to: not over tighten a bulkhead :frown:
I hope you get another tank, that other one looked great  How did the tank crack by the way  keep us posted, Rich |
Cheepreef.
How come you didn't run styrofoam under the tank? Do you think that could have prevented this? |
