hate to be the one to do this but..... I told you so!! :(

He was a pretty guy, if you decide to do it again, go full on with a solid cover, eggcrate won't cut it and any other mesh might be an issue. Just go big or go home, unfortunately it's a risk with these guys and you're just asking for trouble.

I know...I know. I had originlly set up the tank with a glass top and 1 light strip, but then added another light and found it to awkward for feeding and maintenence. So... I used the mounting brackets for the lights to raise them up a little and the glass top doesnt work with the mounting brackets for the lights. Oh well live and learn right? Dont think I will get another firefish ( to skitish). Thinking maybe another ocellaris, a royal gramma, and either a yellow watchman goby, a yasha goby(if I can ever find 1) or a bi-color blenny.

Well I decided to get rid of 1 of my chunks of xenia( before it becomes the most prominant thing in the tank). Traded with zylumn for a hydnophora rigata frag. Got a free "super mario" shroom, and added a emerald crab. Here's some pics of the new stuff ( not the shroom though, he's still kinda "ahhhh"), and some growth pics of some other stuff.

Looking good there, fishytime. We have figured out how to get the pictures from the camera onto the computer. Now just need to learn how to post pictures. Your birdsnest frag is doing awesome!

We started to restock after the death wave and picked up a pair of true percs and a royal gramma. I find my new royal gramma (female) is a lot smaller and less aggressive than the male that died. Might want to keep that in mind when purchasing a royal gramma. Golds had some last weekend and I grabbed a female. Very timid little thing who is just starting to come out of her cave in the last couple of days.

The firefish that survived the fish holocaust is rarely seen since I added the new fish. I would never get a firefish again, either. They are way too jumpy and do not come out of the rocks often enough. However, that must have saved it from whatever killed my other livestock.

Sweet tank!

Thanks alot ladies. Karen I upload my photos onto photobucket.com and then just copy and paste the link into my posts. Photobucket accounts are free. Its pretty easy. Hope you get it worked out. I would really like to see some pics of you guys tank. I would like a royal gramma too but they say it should be the last fish you introduce so will probably wait awhile. Was just at elite tonight and saw a fish or two that I may have to go back and get(green clown goby or six line wrasse). Not sure which one. He just got them in today and said to wait a couple days to make sure everything is cool. I wanna check Golds on Saturday anyway cause the prices are better there. Anyway keep workin on those pics.
