Ok talked to some people at B.A they said no also. So I'm thinking of the dwarfs the pic muck put up is awesome. I do already have bolivian rams in another tank that have spawned once, I think they may have spawned again because one hid inside a hollow log for a couple days. I do like german, and gold rams also. Maybe a collection of rams or some other dwarfs and maybe angel fish for the top half??

http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com...ara_cobue.html ill find more later. this guy is awesome and can be found in the city. |
Freshwater Red "Lobster" from Pisces would look great in there. Also some smaller schooling fish such as minnows (cheap so if it gets eaten...just buy more).
Just my opinion. Js |
You could also think about going with Bifrenatus cichlids-- they're cute and small... or maybe something like Lelupi -- or juliedochromis, My advice is if ur going to try and do small cichlids like malawi mbuna or tangynika cichlids, pile ur rock up higher, especially for julies... that would be a cute tank-- add some Java Fern and toss a bunch of different julies in-- that would definitely be neat!
But i also like the idea of rams-- they are sooo pretty-- but then you'll need to soften up the water a bit..etc. best of luck! |
FYI - listen to what Muck is saying, Mbuna & Aulonocara are simply not suited to a tank with that dimensions. (and that includes A. cobue)
