Naslund needs Bertuzzi to open up the ice for him.

so if bertuzzi is in Automatically they win? I have seen the canucks lose hundreds of times with bertuzzi in the line up.

i'm sorry, in my oppinion you so called "hockey fans" are just stupid. Your logic is borderline retarded

lmao your jealousy is hilarious. In one run, the Flames have made it farther then all the oilers playoff series' since '91. Your precious Oilers are just as hungry.

Because Todd Bertuzzi would have magically cured Cloutier? Lmao

Well I based my opinion on a tightly played 7 game series that was decided in overtime. I figure that one of the premier players in the league would have made a difference in the series.

If you could maybe adjust your comments to opinions and not personal attacks I think the board would be better off.

Incidentally, I played hockey for 25 years and have been coached by a number of former NHLers. I have a fairly good grasp of the game and am not a rabid fan that would insult people over defending "my team".

Capitolizing on another team's weekness is part of the game. Lets not forget about Steve Smith.

And it would have made a difference if our number 1\2 center wasn't injured as well. (Steven Reinprecht)

Playing for 25 years gives you the ability to see alternate reality, such as "what if". Even if he was in the line-up that is no gaurantee.

Answer this, what were the excuses for beating the other 2 Division leaders (Det and San jose)?

another point: If the Flames didnt have injuries to some of their biggest playoff scorers, and if Robyn Regehr wasnt playing with a broken ankle in game 7 of the final, maybe flames win the cup?

Hindsight is 20/20, and all your "what ifs" don't mean a thing.

Relax, take an opinion for what it's worth. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking Bertuzzi's absence was a huge blow to the Canucks. Do you think if you yell and can call people names you'll change their opinions?

Do I think Calgary's run to the cup was a fluke? Yeah, partially. I thought they played hard, played a team game and I think luck was on their side. I enjoyed watching their run and after watching them out work Vancouver in game's 5 and 6 part of me was cheering for them. I cheered for them the rest of the playoffs too.

And no, my years of experience don't mean I see alternate realities. It means I don't believe my self to be an idiot or stupid when it comes to the game most of my life has revolved around. I do know I don't let my feelings for a team get in the way of analyzing a situation.

I could've also mentioned I spent close to a year covering (among other things) major junior hockey for a little rag in Moose Jaw...but I thought that would be over doing it a little  .

you don't see why one might think that reasoning isn't very realistic?

I agree it hurt the Canucks to lose him, but it is not an excuse.

excuses are for losers!

i'm done!

You keep up the name calling and you will be done. Think about that youngster.
