Unfortunately S. haddoni carpets are known to be voracious feeders. Very sticky.

I went through a lot of trouble to import that anemone at a time when nice coloured anemones were very hard to acquire. So I, for one, am glad that he's not flushed.

Keeping anemones can be a love/hate relationship... I know after my incident with the ritteri a few months ago I questioned what it was that I was doing... I think they (anemones in general) definitely need to be a measured choice.

Well put reply Tony!

I know you were probably kidding Ryan.
BUT.

It's ridiculous to punish or kill an animal for preforming it's natural instincts.

I don't punish my bird for flying around the house or kill my dogs for barking when the door rings.
And I don't flush my anemone for feeding itself.
This anemone has been around for a long time and it will continue to be around no matter how many fish it eats.

These days the proper term is "a Courtesy Flush" when toilet loading is expected to exceed the plumbing limits.

Sucks about the lost fish but sometimes crap happens. Seems likes a more natural way to go then other things I've seen happen in the hobby.
