And so it begins, I am goin to try and sell someing really stupid on ebay for lots of money. I am looking for ideas of what it should be. And I cant part with my future telling toaster.

Man, if I was filthy, stinkin' loaded and had money to blow like that, I'd buy that stupid ten year old grilled cheese and eat it just to spite the seller. What the crap?

I apologize in advance if I insult any Catholics reading this but....

does anyone but some "naive" Catholics really think that God would actually try to communicate with us by putting the Virgin Mary's "likeness" on grilled cheese sandwiches, window panes & other places. Yes, God in his infinite wisdom and fairness gave this person a grilled cheese icon to eBay. What a scam. That's not FAITH, that's mass hysteria or maybe some good weed. You know what PT Barnum said, "There's one born every minute!" (or was it second?)

PS. I'm neither Catholic, nor a joint-meister; although I'm married into a Catholic family who'll believe anyone if they say they saw a vision

You'd give a million dollars to the seller to spite her? Do you think the seller is going to feel bad after she gets a cool million into her account? I doubt she's going to feel bad about it. She'll probably laugh all the way to the bank.

Before the item was pulled off the website for being a hoax, bidding was well over a million. Well, somehow, this person convinced EBAY that the auction is authentic.. Only approved bidders can bid now. Well, the auction has closed with a winning bid of $28,000. So, who's the lucky buyer?

Samw 11-23-2004 09:10 AM

Well, let me answer my own question.

"‘Virgin Mary grilled cheese’ sells for $28,000
Online casino wins eBay auction for 10-year-old 'holy' snack"

Only in America does such great opportunities exist.

Indeed I would! We're all talking of the hypothetical here. Who said anything about being reasonable.

I understand. I was just saying that by giving her the money, she would not feel your spite. Maybe I'm wrong. But it would definitely be entertaining to watch you eat the $1 million ($28,000 now) sandwich.

And that's the thing, the whole entertainment value of watching it. I mean, c'mon, this is the most ridiculous item I have ever seen, including the false Britney Spears toenail clippings going for upwards of $1,500.

Hell, though she may not feel the spite, I'm sure there'd be religious zealots all over the planet who would flood my mailbox with hate if it was publicized.

Yes, I like to stir the pot.
