A standard 120gal is a very versatile size. Easy to light, provide adequate flow, wide and long enough for creative aquascaping, not too heavy or long for moving, and plenty of options for stocking. In the first two years of being in this hobby I went through a 20gal, 48gal, 33gal, and 50gal before moving up to the 120gal which I have now had for 8 years. That being said... a 250gal 5'x3'x2' would be nice.

Yeah I'm quite happy with my 93. Really great dimensions, interesting aquascape, good variety in stocking and small enough that it's easy to maintain with small water changes and dosing.

That being said, now I think my dream is 120x30x30. Maybe a little shorter

Happy to help :)

LMAO! Brad is always so helpful, what he says makes a lot of sense though! :silly:

I would love to have a fish only peninsula around 120x36x30", but I couldn't fit that in my house. I have a 50-gallon reef right now 36x18x18", and that is the ideal size for this house. :)

Haha! Nice one Mark.

I'm putting in a 60.5x27.5x27.5 that I think I will like, but ideally I think I would like (next upgrade) 96x34x22.
The height is more due to laziness and the fact that it would still allow me to get to the bottom corners to scrub down the coralline (Bare bottom)

Damn 27.5 high. I have a 22" high tank and wish I went with a 20 or 18" cause my armpits get wet in the 22" lol

I've had an ideal tank for the last two years - an empty one :D

Ideal tank size

Mine is roughly 31" by 31" by 31" high this is my next tank wife is not allowing me space on kitchen island but this is the ONE BABY! Then my sump area will be huge topping up and draining tank will be a switch of the button. It's right in front of my sink lol.
The lady of the house is winning now but very soon I will win the war
