Again, thanks for your response.

Hey beeaan,

Did you get yours? How do they look on your tank?

Bean 04-30-2014 10:33 PM

I'm still waiting for them. They were to be delivered Friday but I've intercepted them and am picking them up tomorrow at a depot they'll be going to. Will definitely let you know how they look. I have to retrofit the canopy over the aquarium to house them but that won't take long.

Hey everyone.
Was wondering if the D120 sold through reef supply canada has customizable led color ratio? Im looking for a led light with predominantly 4500k whites.
Thanks

I just opened my new 2060's from Nick. I am very impressed so far. This weekend I'll mount them and make the switch from T5!

Karsten just ordered some custom leds. They are somewhat customize able in that they will do it sometimes if they are not to busy. But in general they would rather not. One thing i would not want to have more of the the lower k whites. It is all personal opinion but if i were customize one for myself i would swap a couple of the 4500k for 6500 or even 10000k as at full power they are a touch yellow for my liking (but this is the layout that has made the bulk of customers happy as we have tried a few in past and tweaked to this point).

Please pm me if you are thinking you would rather a custom and i can send you a blank layout.

Karsten, i am looking forward to seeing how yours come out. Post some pics when you get them going.

ReefSupplyCanada is kickass. ;)

Would like to see some large tank photos with those lights over them!

Finally got my lights, got them up and programmed on 1 hour, gonna change them to half hour ramp up/down for a smoother effect. It's pretty late so I haven't had time to fiddle to much. I'll be back at it tomorrow but they do light up the tank nicely.

What's everyone running on their D120's for intensity? I got a 24" tank, 22" water depth and the blues/whites are around 75-80% My BTA isn't happy with light tho. But then he's had some issues for a while. Just dunno if to much light or not enough? I like them tho

nrosdal 05-06-2014 12:09 AM

i am at 100% blue and usually 80% on whites. Would go a bit higher but corals up top start to fade when i do. Anywhere above 50% should be more then enough for anemone. I had a carpet under mine before adding optics and running 70% max and it was happy.

Magma 05-06-2014 12:17 AM

50% on each channel

They are mounted 18" above the water and I have 20" of water depth.

I found it took my nems almost 3 months to get used to the LED's they hid in shadows for a long time and now they are massive.
