I did also upgrade my skimmer big time so im not too worried about the bioload with a skimmer thats rated for 750 gallons.

16 chromis! I have 2.

Seeing you keep the puffers make me want to add one too. I have 3 shrimps and a couple of hermits (these are expendable, but the shrimps I have an attachment to). Wonder how it will work?

what kind were you thinking ? I know most puffers will eat crabs and shrimp , I have 2 dogface puffers and a smaller blue spot puffer and they will eat crabs and shrimps . You might be able to get away with a porcupine puff . My big Dogface has become quit tame over the years have had him going on 10 years now he use to eat anything I put in there but now he will only eat new spectrum pellets and he leaves everything else alone now .

So i have a long spine porcupine and a reg porcupine puffer, the long spine is still timid and has barely eaten what i have fed in weeks, but the other was the same till one day he went crazy for large new life spectrum pellets..he eats them like cookies lol you can hear the crunch.. probably good for the teeth. im hoping the long spine will do the same, but neither bother my other fish so far or my corals. i still have 2 cleaner shrimp but i only ever see their antennaes rarely..fwiw

on a bad note, had an alk swing due to apex not being updated (fixed now) and dropped my ph in the calc reactor to 5.9 and temp to 29c, it just left all outlets on regardless of programming..anyway my huge efflo and several others have began to stn.. some from top, some from bottom, but alot of my favourite pieces... may have to frag some or glue. everything else was good but there were several swings...hope they can stop and heal.
