Yo quiero Taco Bell
Oh...and nice Achilles. |
Hmmm, weird Rich. My cb is the king of my tank. My yellow tang and him are best buds!!! Love that anthias. On a side note, I'm getting back into breeding panther chameleons!! Will discuss further at the beer/reef gathering

Awesome big guy
I love that anthias, and I'm glad to see you with an Achilles again Hope things go well this time !! Have you tried out the new scraper ? Have you tried the BRS bulk mag yet ? I'm curious to see how it mixes ... Does it come separate; Mag Chloride and Mag Sulfate ? See you soon ... Oh, and cheers to tacos  |

Rich - what do you use the most of as I'm going to order a 5gal soon unless you want to meet me @peace arch and pick all four 5g pails of chemicals. |

Love your fish collection :) |
Looking good as always buddy! Still can't believe you got a second Achilles, lol.
Like I said before, I'd be happy to take the CB off your hands if need be. He could always technically be your fish, just in my tank, lol! |

I have the brs bulk stuff on hand now so I will take some pics for you once its mixed. BTW they do come separate. Quote:

Rich, I've considered the Tunze Long to replace my Tiger Shark. What do you think about the Tunze Long cleaner? Thanks! |
It's worth the $40 that I spent on it. I like this unit cause its easy to use and it will not scratch up your glass. I would say this is one of the best product for 2014.
|
I also have this unit on two of my tanks and they are awesome... very small chance to scratch the glass (although there is still a chance).
Also not afraid to go near or in the sand. I think tunze could have made the unit float, however as it really sucks when it drops while trying to move sides... Also careful with the blade as its quite sharp. |
My addiction 300DD
My 45g cube is made of 10mm starfire glass.
Will the Long version will be sufficient? Just needed to ask because I had the Hammerhead for my old 120g with 10mm glass but it didn't work well which is why I bought the Tigershark for my cube. |
My tank is a 120g 12mm starphire glass and it works well.. Obviously its not 100% bulletproof and it has flaws but in my opinion its much better than any magnet with a pad on the back of it...
The one flaw is the fact that it doesn't float and my tank is 2" deep and the stand is very high, edge is at about 6'1- 6'2, so its a bitch to remove the screen and reach to the bottom... But yea to answer your question, the long version will work very well and i haven't had the meet of a strong magnet yet so I don't regret buying it... All my other magnets make perfect egg crate stands though with a little glue :) |
Ok here is a question for you guys, can you use it on curved glass?
|
Quote:
Curved glass like on a bowfront? Or curved like a RSM 130 at the corner? The magnet has two points of contact only so i will work really well on curved glass of a bow front but I don't see.it working very well on a 90 degree curved edge, nano might work to a certain extent. |

It should work with a corner tank, I say get one try it and thank me later. |

one more  BRS mag solution mix, getting a lot of people selling bulk chemicals nowadays but brs is still by far the highest grade money can buy. 5 cup mag chloride and 3 cups sulphate (epsom salt) http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...psctuslkio.jpg crystal clear all the way through even with superstore exact epsom salt. |
I like your frag tree. Is that from Dave in Langley?
BTW, the Tunze Longs are out of stock at JL...........maybe because of your build thread. I'm curious how many people actually went out to buy one because of this thread. |
