 Never in 30 plus yrs. of saltwater and 25 reefing, have I seen an algae plague such as this. Besides the carpet, there is  fast growing longer algae, stringy and attaching to corals. Not like anything I seen before.  Lost several coals already and moved many to my 30g to save them. Dont seem to bother the clams or chalice. High end equipment sale coming up. |

 I think you can easily salvage what you have for less money than you'll lose selling off the used gear. Order a box of rock. Swap it out. It'll be fun :) |

 I always wonder about upgrading tanks myself. we get a bunch of new rock and then we move the old tank to the new one overnight and nothing is matured... not sure if it is a issue but I wonder how many problems are caused this way. Steve |
