noticed something in the tank tonight.....I sold my big birdsnest colony and the gentleman picked it up tonight.....the birdsnest was the local hangout for my group of chromis....all of the chromis interactions and squabbles seem to be centered around and inside the colony.....now that the colony is no longer there they have spent the last couple hours swimming as a group again(they did briefly when first introduced) and there has been no squabbling.....amazing to me how even removing a coral can effect the dynamics of things in a tank....

Don't keep your hopes up, they'll find something else to snark at each other over

oh I know they will:lol:......Im expecting they we be back at each other by morning:twised:......just found it interesting that their behavior changed when "the place to be" was removed from the tank.....perhaps I stare at the tank far too much:mrgreen:

Isn't this why you have it ???

Didn't mean to marginalize your initial comment ....

Chromis is evil

Mayhaps I should have said ...

Nothing like changing the 'scape to mess with the fish

Once the chromis get into the new bigger tank they will behave differently and likely do a lot of spawning with less fighting. At least that was how they behaved in my tank.

All 7 of mine sleep in my blue digi and there's minimal fighting. Bought 7 and have 7. They swim mostly together or in 2 groups. Maybe it's the large tang or the fast wrasses but they're still schooling and behaving. Keeping my fingers crossed.

that would be neat.....Ive been toying with the idea of adding more to the group when they go int the big tank, but then I talk myself out of it.....this group started with thirteen fish and within a couple months they whittled themselves down to five.....this five have been five for a few months now, so Im kinda nervous about messing with things.... given the track record of these fish Im pretty stoked that I have five, instead of one, like most people seem to end up with......but then I think, "ya five look cool, but fifteen would be awesome!......
