Sweet skimmer Doug... about time you got it!

Look at the bottom of Doug's stand. You can see where the foam has BLASTED and splatter-coated it directly above the skimmer. At least that's what I wanna think. Lookin' good and stank there Doug =)

That is what it is from......but not the BK.....my ER did that.......I've had to tape off the sump with a garbage bag a couple times to chisel out the MDF.......Great Idea bonehead, untreated MDF in a high humidity environment....learn from my mistakes boys and girls...:lol:

Yeah when I was doing a few mods to my plumbing I did that same thing. Carefully taped a bunch of garbage bags across the sump and started with the hacksaw.

I should probably do the same thing......tarp it off again and just cut out a large section of the shelf above the skimmer.......I'll do it right after I get the stand skinned:wink::mrgreen:

I didn't even realize this was a tank journal thread anymore. For all I knew you had sold off the tank 2 weeks ago and was just stringing it along just to see who would notice first that you had in fact, taken up crocheting instead... and swinger parties.
