You're absolutely correct. However, by the time I save enough money, the frags you put into your current sexy tank will have become colonies. Come to think of it, it's perfect timing!! I'll raid yours and Jess's tanks!
Did I miss it or have you not mentioned your lighting choice for this tank? Hybrid ATI would add to the sleekness you already got goin' on. Just saying..

seabreeze 01-09-2015 05:24 PM

Following along in great anticipation :couch2:

You're gonna need a strawberry shortcake acro to match your daughter's oven LOL

I think this fancy new tank needs a fancy new thread

And hey... sorry about the fish :puppydog:

I do see you have a damsel however... temporary? I had one in a previous tank... became an arch nemesis!!! Once he grew up and got established, the tank became HIS. Any current fish was allowed but anything new he chased the crap out of! Was a gorgeous blue but ughhhhhhhhhhh !@#@@!$#@!$

I got a ssc frag already but its only a skin flap....:bored:

Thinking about a new thread but I kinda like the continuation of the 300 as this tank is like the combination of all the information I have gathered and learned from the 300 made into this tank. I would like to think I have used the best practices so far....

Funny I was just planning for Saturday morning fishing trip for that little bastard... Thanks for the heads up.

On another note, I saw a picture of your tank recently and it looks awesome, might have to come by and take a look in person if that's okay.

LOL,... sounds like the one I got last year, a 1/4 inch nub..., and probably from the same guy... Mine has progressed to 3/4 inch now, and a lot of encrusting, but still hasn't take off.

Sure does take a long time for them to start taking off but once it does, it grows at a decent pace.

Sounds like someone may need to build a light enclosure to prevent fish sticks

Whu-oh, the mob is getting restless ....
Better quell the crowd quick-like before it turns into some kinda riot

Oh wait, too late, someone went fishing so the votes are down :fish2:
And now someone else is taking a tea break, so I guess we're done with the voting :tea:

Stay tuned for the action ...

QUICK UPDATE

http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8ezjgyfp.jpg

Set up the last doser for magnesium. Slowly getting there.

http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1lc1j64h.jpg

New fish added, Helfrich firefish. I bought 2 of them knowing that they will fight but I still wanted to try. Upon first introduction, I could only find 1 of the 2. I looked everywhere but no luck. Damn fish swam through the overflow and ended up in the filter sock and the wife found it the next day. She tried to put it back into the tank, the damn thing flopped around and finally gave up. That was the fastest 100 bucks I have ever wasted.

http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...pss6kckcm2.jpg

Side view. Finally getting some algae growing. Tank is slowly looking alive now.

http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...psy7opejad.jpg

Black ice clown are breeding again, I would really like to try breeding them soon. It would be a cool challenge.

http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...psx8xbvtaj.jpg

http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...psbi15lzar.jpg

Full tank shot. Sorta.

Ginu 02-03-2015 03:00 AM

Looking good, if you want some algae let me know, it seems to love growing on my rocks.

hillegom 02-03-2015 03:36 AM

Rice Reef 02-03-2015 03:56 AM

Thanks man! I can't wait till they start growing.

ashr 02-03-2015 08:50 PM

Nice start!! The waiting is always the hardest part haha. I cannot wait for a couple months of growth!! Are you planning on doing anything different or new this time around?

Right, I see it as a scraper now.

SeaHorse_Fanatic 02-04-2015 12:42 AM

The knife is there to stop any would-be frag snatchers from invading his tank.

gregzz4 02-04-2015 04:46 AM

Every minute spent staring at your tank is $ you can make to afford the hobby

Just sayin ...
