Laurie and Carmen talked me into continuing on in the hobby and Im gald they did.... V2, is a almost a year and a half old now and starting to hit its stride.......just in time for me to tear it down to move to E-town:neutral:.......oh well maybe some day it will FTOTM material again:mrgreen:

Granny frags  "Here dearie, I knitted you a sweater and some frag plugs"

ALang 12-19-2011 03:54 PM

Hey Doug,
You were not kidding about those frags that the Greens got for me!
Do you have a name for those?
Can I hijack and ask you to give me a few tips as to keeping these so awesomely light-colored??
I have 250W MH, and have been able to consistently turning them light brown in the past:redface:. So would they need less light?? Or is it my nutrient load that I have to watch??
Thanks, Lenny.

jack away..........well.....to be honest, the humilis and mini colony will get darker then what they are now.....the humils will likely be a teal to med blue....may develop green tips......the mini colony should be a deep purple with bright green polyps......Im not positive about the other one....I took home one of the light colored ones too and I think maybe the branches will be a light to medium cream color with purple tips.......as far as keeping them light colored.....you could always run Zeo......that will give you those light pastely colors......how soon in your tanks life did you try sps?.....I cant remember now if you had any leathers or not???

and just cuz its the way I roll:cool:.....a couple more pics
