I suppose thats long enough....The winning guess is..........drum roll please.....actually its a tie.....Kien Guessed 6 and Carmen guessed 4.....its actually 5!!!! You both are welcome to come and collect your prize, a frag of pretty much anything you want from my tank....seriously....

Totally surprised that its that low....Tony had me freaked and I thought for sure that my API test kit was giving me an inaccurate test result...also really surprised that the API test kit appears to be bang on....

Carmen 12-30-2009 04:19 PM

Ya....um......no!......Still waiting for all the planets to align so my skimmer will arrive:razz:(Just teasin Albert).....But in all seriousness, the tank could probably handle the bio-load but its becoming more an issue of available swimming space....the coral doesnt seem to want to give the fish any breaks in that department:mrgreen: I do need to downsize my two big tangs...The regal is so excitable at feeding time that he often swims into stuff(sometimes breaking it off:bad-word:)....He has had a swollen eye a couple times and numerous bumps and bruises....Every time I think I'm gonna get motivated to catch them, I end up not being able to bring myself to do it...I should ask someone else to come and do it for me.....like Catherine!... She's the one that would likely be taking them....

Start selling more frags.

A small 20-30G frag tank on the opposite end of the tank would be awesome! ;)

fishytime 12-30-2009 07:41 PM

I had more of a shallow cube clam tank vision for that corner:twised:.....The g/f would leave me, period!....I already just barely managed to fennagle getting the pony tank in the door....Any more tanks and she's a goner ....hmmmmm:lol: J/K HunnyBunny...

Oh Doug,
What I'd give to have my corals look like yours.

Less taking home stuff for you, and more picking out good stuff for me??

lastlight 12-30-2009 08:50 PM

Doug's millis would have fit right in during the 70s!

Absolutely LOVE the middle shot! Very cool with the yellow polyps peeking around the clam.

nanmer 01-02-2010 03:20 PM

Your camera skills are amazing! I have a weakness for starfish, the top pic is incredible! The last pic just needs a nose and it would make a cute face with the biggest grin.

michika 01-02-2010 04:28 PM

I heard my name!

We're just waiting for tax time, then I'll be taking my monster refund and going to buy the next tank. Although between now and then I can probably accept a few more additions.

lorenz0 01-02-2010 04:36 PM

the pirate approves your photo's. i really like that starfish one

Bonsai cap! At least that's a cap that ought to stay at a manageable size.

Your tank is awesome as always man! Photos are definitely looking great too. That second last pic...did you glue the frag right to the rocks? What do you normally do?

What makes a clam 'ultra'? It's nice for sure but that sort of makes me chuckle.

Thanks Brett:redface:.....Depends on what the frag is on and where I wanna put it....Im not at all afraid to modify the plugs or LR with a dremel to get things mounted properly....

Ultra is just a grade....you know like grade "A" alberta beef.....Ultras usually have far better coloration than regular grade clams

lastlight 01-09-2010 02:50 PM

How do you use a dremel to tool the LR? Isn't it underwater?

 Ya that probably wouldnt work too well huh?....I more meant that if the frag is on LR then I will sometimes shape the rock to get it to sit right....although I have taken apart the rock work and removed rock from the tank to tweak it a bit...whatever it takes to get things looking right.

Definitely going to be a centerpiece.. Tank looks great (man that must get old hearing that.. hahaha)
