you mean on the white and pink zoas center of the pic?? thats a small head of aiptasia, i dose my zoas for nudis weekly where i get new arrivals. i dose with coral rx and flatworm exit, just yesterday i did all the dips lol i doubt theres any nudis in there :P |
once a week i take all the zoas and palys(all corals really) and dip them in coral rx then flatworm exit, then i manually inspect the colonies, ive had nudis before and now i take no chances with them:)
obviously the bonzai tree doesnt get taken apart for dipping but everythng was dipped before gluing to the tree:P |
Well, I guess that's better than a Nudi.. maybe... Just looked like a big nudi on my phone.

anyone know if peppermints will harm my harlequin shrimp or sexies?? or vice versa?? anyone think 25g is too small for a cbb ?? jking dont hate :P:P |
Denny, we have superman monti danae frags at the store and a banded pipe. I'll try and make sure at least a couple monti frags make it to the FF.
|
you be ok with a Cbb. Mine 26g and I have a Cbb and a large Naso. My rule of thumb is 1 fish for 5 gallons. Lol
I noticed two aprasias in My tank so I added a cb peppermint and befor it hit bottom the wrasse had shrimp breath. Got rid of wrasse now have to go back to store |

thats the best part is they eat frozern starfish, so i buy a chocolate chip starfish and i cut it into small pieces. if the pieces are small enough they will take a piece each and go their serperate ways if its a larger piece they will both much on it sie by side:) ive wanted one of these for years but finding a pair that has adapted to prepared starfish is a bit tricky, i can take no credit though the previous owner trained them:) |

thanks man, the plan is to trim what can be trimmed and let the rest grow into each other, for the most part the tree is zoas but therse a good mix of chalices and favias and other lps in there as well. the origional plan was to do a favia and chalice tank....but i am just to addicted to the little colorful polyps lol my one concern is my elegance not sure how long i can keep it in there, although they are an aggressive coral ive been lucky in that whats in the bonzai tank doesnt seem to get affected by the sting. but the soft flesh is pushing up against the tree when its expanded under the halides. im going to play it by ear, i really dont want to part with my elegance, when i got it it was maybe 6" and had 5-6 mouths, right now its over 16" long and has around 20-25 mouths lol im debating on whether or not i should frag it as well. elegance has been my coral over the years that i couldnt keep ,its hard to find one thats healthy(doesnt have ECS) and its taken alot of trial and error in finding what makes them tick :) |
heres a cool study on elegances that everyone should read if they own an elegance coral:)

Yeah, I had a hard time selling my elegance but it just grew too big and took up too much space on the sandbed (needed room for more znp's). I just picked up another one and trying to keep it small by not target feeding it.

that will help for sure to keep it smaller i seen the pic of yours man thats a beauty makes me want to get another :PPPPP |
