Nobody wants such a nice tank?

MarkoD 10-19-2012 09:03 PM

I'm sure people want it. Just no one want to pay 500 for it

Not for that price... no.

My opinion is... if it dosn't sell after a month... There's something wrong with your price....and this has been for sale for 2 months... so maybe put two and two together.

My 2 cents - The whole thing with accessories isn't worth anything over $500.

pat18 10-19-2012 09:30 PM

Willing to go lower on most of the prices.

Need this gone, so all of the above $500

BioCube Skimmer and RO/DI Unit SOLD

Proteus 10-23-2012 12:56 AM

I'd give u $200 for tank stand and sump. That's about all. There to many tanks coming up for sale to ask for a price like that. My brother sold his 240g cube for $700......

pat18 10-23-2012 05:18 AM

Not sure if I mentioned it but both tanks have polished edges and no scratches.

mexxedm 10-23-2012 03:17 PM

I did a quote for 75G cube tank from AI. It only cost me $135. I think you are asking too high for the price for a 40G tank.

riceboy 10-23-2012 03:32 PM

hmm didn't realize starphire and polished edges was that cheap these days

I HIGHLY doubt it cost that little for trimless/braceless, polished edges and all starphire! In my opinion I think this tank is worth what's being asked and I say this knowing full well what it cost and it's only 3 years old. There may be others cheaper but a custom built starphire tank, custom built sump and custom built metal stand are not cheap. Also the water blaster pump which is about $190 retail isn't more than 6 months old.

pat18 10-24-2012 04:12 AM

That must have been a basic tank, because when I was getting the tank I have now, I went around asking for quotes and the one I got from AI with regular glass, no polished edges, thinner glass, etc was $295. So add on 1/2 inch starphire glass, a steel stand and a sump and it ended up being much more. The display tank itself was just under $500 when I got it quoted from most places.
I can't go any lower on the price, if it doesn't sell, then I will put it away for now and maybe someday I will use it.

Agreed Noirs!!! Leave the kid alone! If you are not interested in the tank then please keep your mouth shut! I got his RO unit and Skimer yesterday. the last thing he wants is rip-off anybody he gave me more than he had posted on the RO . He is a young kid that maybe saved money for long time for his tank and now is trying to get the most he can recup.

Was agreeing with u as well:

Just sick of the sad bullies that make using this forum less that desirable.

Lol you guys are hilarious. A tank is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. He can ask whatever he wants.

It's the "ASAP" part that throws everyone off

Please dont group us because of a few. Its a great forum.

And to the others, please refrain from posting in a buy/sell unless you doing such. IT IS A PART OF THE BUY/SELL RULES.

Thank you

Great young reefer

Sold me his reactor and much needed heater! He took care of his equipment. Great deals IMO. Thanks Pat!

I use SCS1200 made by GE. You can find it at contractors store, not Home Depot.

pat18 10-24-2012 10:09 PM

Thanks everyone for the supportive comments. Also, it is no longer ASAP as I got most of the stuff gone, but would still like to sell this tank as it is taking up a lot of space and I can't set one up anytime soon either.

Water Blaster pump is SOLD

pat18 11-04-2012 11:14 PM

Everything is SOLD
