Im using plumming securing band things to hold my lights on my fixture for my 15g prop tank. I know thats not really ghetto though. Also my reflector for my MH is diamond plate aluminum sheeting bent to make a nice reflector, but It looks pretty good, works great, so its not really ghetto lol.

The first light holder I had for my tank.... made out of scrap wood and screws I had sitting around  . To top it all off, I suck at woodworking
http://www.telusplanet.net/public/me.../tankshot3.jpg The newer and "improved" version of that rig... I actually went out, bought some decent wood, some primer and some paint.... http://www.telusplanet.net/public/me...er/ghetto1.jpg http://www.telusplanet.net/public/me...er/ghetto2.jpg I broke my original float switch holder (which was pretty ghetto in itself) a few days ago, so I ended up rigging up a holder from a few pieces of left over pvc, T's and elbows I had laying around... http://www.telusplanet.net/public/me...er/ghetto3.jpg The salt creep really adds to the whole ghetto feel of my tank  -Rich |

My old tank was on a cinder block stand with wooden shelves. They were painted with that marblizing effects paint. It had tinfoil reflectors and old 70's style curtains for doors.
Oh ya! I had a seaclone for a while too! |
