First impressions...easy to set up, simple design, easy to service, still pulling wet but there really wasn't much to pull out until just recently...and using the Prodibio, I don't really know what to expect as far as skim, My skimz and bm's pull big chunky stuff yet to be seen in this tank |

Looks good, how you liking that LED?
|
Wow...looking great under those LED's ...how do you like them?
|
Tank looks great:) I can't wait to see how you LED guys make out.
|
I like the fact that you can change your light spectrum through-out the day via programming... I know the whole LED thing is kinda new (to me)and all but it does look brighter than the IceCap MH fixture that it replaced...Now that it's hung I'll throw the PAR (thanks Ken) meter under it and see what it says (1300-2300K)...TBC
I also have an Ecoxotic LED fixture on my 24" cube and a ReefTech on the way so it will be interesting to compaire them all side by side. |
Tank is looking great. I love how its sooooo clean. I can't wait to see the reviews on both fixtures. Thanks in advance for sharing this with us.
|
Just a kewl pic...It feels so risky and dangerous:jaw:

The water colour reminds me of looking down into the indian ocean in the Maldives just before the sun really starts to set.

^^^That's @ 14K

|
I can't believe how much coralline has grown in one month....There isn't a speck of white rock visible now.
March 21 2011... http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...r/IMG_0228.jpg April 21 2011... http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...r/IMG_0391.jpg |
You have no idea how jealous that makes me!
What do you attribute this to? Was it just really good live rock that you seeded the dry rock with, or was there more to it? Where did you get the live rock that you seeded the tank with? - Brad |
The seeding live rock came from my other tanks, I started with roughly a one to one ratio (100lb LR to 100lb Marco rock) and have been slowly removing the seed rock. I have been running the calcium reactor with ARM and ZeoMag, with a steady stream of afluent... other than that nothing out of the ordinary.

the tank is looking good man.
|
Tank is very nice. Wow!!! holy brightness going on.
|
Thanks for the props all...

Right now I have the fixture operating @ 80% 1400K, We had company over Satuday night, I put it @1800K and had too reduce the power to 25% as not to blind everyone in the room. |
Fishce are starting a new diet today...Now let's see how they like it...

Tank is looking good Brain how you liking the leds and swabbie
|
Extremely happy with the PacSun product...
The swabbie, not so much. I think the swabbie is great concept that's been poorly executed by Avast, they really need to address their QA/QC proccess. |
Quote:
Are you getting good colours, I can never capture mine in my pictures always look washed out, the growth is looking good. I like my swabbie its just a pain as the drain from my skimmer cup is below my sump height so i cant use the locker and makes it a pain as skim mate doubled or more. |
