Well, did the transfer of my live stock into the new system...All went well no losses, things are looking good. So here are some shots...not the greatest pics can't figure this damn camera out :twised:

Looks awesome, everyone in there looks happy. How do you like the lights now with all the livestock added? What are you running in the second Phosban? Carbon?

Im running the new bio pellets in one and carbon in the other.

Thanks man, I am running a skimmer you just can't see it.
It's a aqua remora C until I can buy a better one it seems to pull quite well:lol:

Well its going through a cycle again, guess that's from the move its getting there. lost a few softies but I guess that's part of it all...lol got me a tunze top off system works great. My next purchase is going to be a new skimmer and 2 vortech pumps need to get some movement happening.:lol: you should stop on by when you can.

Ya, my water really smells bad....would that be cause I'm using my Aqua c remora and it not rated for that big of a tank. or could it be the new bio pallets stuff i am using?

New toys need help
 
Okay everyone, Next week I will be ordering my new TOYS and Vor Tech MP40W ES. and the 2 Skimmers I'm contemplating are the Vertex Alpha Cone 170 Or The Bubble Magus 220 they are around the same price. Question is what one will it be....I NEED A VOTE....So i can make a Decision any help would be great..:lol:

Don't waste your money on a 180 mini. I would get a Bubble Magus 220 or a vertex 200 but for the money its cheaper to get a bubble Magus they are a great skimmer trust me I know. there isn't any skimmer that i haven't tried.:biggrin:

there isn't much of a contact time when you look at the skimmer. great pump don't get me wrong small footprint, however the contact is what you need .... and its super quiet alot of the skimmer's now are coming in the super no noise mode....

what is your budget if you dont mind me asking .
in sump or External.
a fish room or under cabinet

well no more than $1000 would rather less if possible
in Sump 11'' by 17'' is all the room I have.
Under Cabinet. 27'' Height at most.

Nice Score man, remeber use some vinegar to run for about 20-30 mins in a tube or sink and the pop it in.. mine is still pulling huge amounts of dark smelly stuff. welcome to the BM Club 220

Well I got my skimmer yesterday....All I can say is what a beast:lol: Ran it in vinegar for 20 min then dropped it in my sump plugged it in and watched it pull the crud out:mrgreen:checked it when i got up this morning and had a half a cup full of black smelly sh!! was very impressed. Thanks skimmer man for telling me to get this beast.:wink: Pics when I get home tonight.
