Shipping update,
Well we fell into the hands of the Chinese new year and the shipment will leave the port one week later than hoped, but by doing this we do not have to pay the increased prices of the sea freight company keeping the price unchanged :) We hope to start taking orders from dealers the first half of March. |
People always value opinions coming from sources other than their fellow employees.
|
Are you going to be bringing in Calcium Reactors as well?
|
Yep, we hope to have the first range on the next shipment.
|

Just took delivery of Ray's BM180Cs for review, all i can say is WOW!!!
If you want a hig end skimmer at low end price then this is it, the quailty is amazing!! Way beyond even I as the distributor expected. I was going to take it all out the wrapping to take pics, but it was so well wrapped I have chosen to wait until Ray gets hold of it next week :) I will unwrap my BM150pro to show you all though later. |
Any Doser's coming in?
|
Not until the noise and wear issue is resolved.
They seem good for 6 months and then start to fall over, also we are waiting to hear back if spares are going to be available. When we feel confident in the product only then will we bring it in, I think i said this before . |
i just bought a bm 180 cs and every time i plug it in it starts to bubble real nice but within a few seconds it fills all the way up and over flows the collection cup with water. if any one has any ideas please let mw know
|
is it set at mim. or max.?
i had the same prob. with mine. kept it on the min for one day until it settled and then was able to increase a day latter once it broke in. |
Yep this is correct as said above it needs to break in, if you have a look at the instructions it talks about this, pretty much the same you get with all new skimmers they need to break in.
If after a few days it still does it, have look at the water level you have it in, should not be less than 9" and no more than 12" optimum is around 10-11" |

thanks for the reply my tank is a 155 gal and sump is 30 gal the skimmer sits in 9" of water and when i first hooked it up i had it set on 3 and it started to produce skimate fast. so i left the house for about 4 hrs and when i came home it was overflowing water so i set it back to off and same thing still over flowing
|
will prob have to raise it out of the water, less than 9" as recommended until it breaks in?
|
just wondering how long is the brake in peorid. i moved the skimmer to about 6" of water and one minute it is working fine and the next its like the water/bubbles wont even reach the top. so then i move the dile up and it starts to work again so i walk away an come back in 5 min and its overflowing .sorry for the dumb questions but am i doing somithing wrong. my directions suck

;) spot on :)
The NAC5E is not imported, there was just no call for it, in fact I think BM stopped making it although its on their web site. Do you need only a hang on back? If so how big is your tank? |
54 gallon corner tank and no sump... I'm restricted to hob skimmers
|
got the perfect BM for you will send details tomorrow
