Very nice!! I love your fish selection. I'm a fan of the flame hawkfish too! Unfortunately I have lots of inverts (sexy shrimp, glass shrimp, etc) that he would probably gobble up

Still no sign of a BlueTang though..

BlueTang<3 03-13-2010 04:15 AM

well i had a interesting week gone for 5 days over easter came home to a dead frag and a 2 birdsnest colonies with tissue loss as my calcium was 300 and alk was at 4  waiting on my calcium reactor should be here any time and came home last to this http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...3/IMG_0951.jpghttp://i789.photobucket.com/albums/y...3/IMG_0952.jpg the ro unit housing blew up and a ton of water on my floor everywhere

mike31154 04-10-2010 03:56 PM

Yow, very sorry to see something like that happen. How could a filter housing pop like that? Have never seen anything like it. Pressure that high in your plumbing?

BlueTang<3 04-10-2010 04:05 PM

well its got a booster pump on it and well power was funny yesterday but they were having a problem with the unit for some time now

The Codfather 04-10-2010 04:28 PM

I suppose your going to blame that on me?

BlueTang<3 04-10-2010 05:26 PM

yeah its entirely my plumbers fault he gets a mystery wrasse and i get a water stain on my wall lol

BlueTang<3 05-14-2010 02:57 AM

Finding Nemo is a computer animated movie... Nemo is a clownfish.

BlueTang<3 07-07-2010 03:14 AM

Haha, nemo was a note for us to know what fish are in the tank so we can do a head count once and a while, lol they are our pair of ocellaris clowns.

Greenmaster 07-07-2010 03:22 AM

Two things... do you have a sump? and do you feel you are close to your bio limit?

BlueTang<3 07-07-2010 03:26 AM

As for the sump it is a 90 gallon tank. Bio load probably i do not have any algae issues or other issues because of it corals have good colour. We am also running a large skimmer for the tank and pull some nasty skim mate running a full zeo system also helps with a larger bio load.

Greenmaster 07-07-2010 04:01 AM

Thanks I'm trying to figure out what my "softcap" is at with a 320g tank and 100g refuge.

lorenz0 07-07-2010 05:16 PM

glad to see it is doing well for you. looks like the frag i cut for you is going to branch off nicely too

but i see alot of nice stuff in the tank

andestang 07-07-2010 06:03 PM

Just went through your thread. Nice set-up, you have some real nice SPS pieces and the RBTA - awesome ! Just a question regarding your RO/DI unit. What ever became of it ? Like what caused the break and how was warranty handled ? I have the same unit and also having problems with it. And now warranty help has come to a screeching halt.

BlueTang<3 07-08-2010 12:18 AM

All my issues were handled through Marine Aquaria where i bought it, the problem they had was with the canisters improper moulds leading to hairline cracks. The manufacture has issued and corrected the issue with supplying new housings and canisters. Why it cracked for must have had a hair line crack but i am glad i was home to find it. I since purchased a water on the floor alarm and shutoff that when it senses water it shuts it off at the source correct any leaks. A great guy to deal with is albert_dao from proline aquatics he is a member here on canreef. Knows these units like the back of his hand.

BlueTang<3 07-14-2010 01:00 PM

So came back from the weekend at the farm to a few browned out corals, nothing major but i was concerned with the ph a little low. Upon digging into the tank found skimmer was not running.

Greenmaster 07-14-2010 05:10 PM

That sucks... still on warranty?

fishytime 07-18-2010 03:45 PM

Finally saw Wes's tank in person and ......WOW!......very nice yous two......thanks again for letting me come and see it on such short notice and thanks again for the frags mang!

lastlight 07-18-2010 04:03 PM

My condolences! That doesn't look like a cheap repair...I hope you're still in warranty.
