3 x 250W DE Ushio 14k with 22K and actinic T5. The pics look at little dark but I find the coral colors to be pretty accurate. I have always had a hard time getting decent pics.

Delphinus 04-14-2010 04:36 AM

Shag carpet!

Things are looking great! :)

Oh I love those first two...the blenny in particular. Needless to say I voted 'cute' in that recent poll. Great shots!

Are those corals touching in the last shot? They look like buddies?

lobsterboy 07-21-2010 07:20 AM

I seen another picture in Doug;s thread of a top down, does that have the setosa on the top left ?

No can do. I made the tough decision to re-home my nem a month or so ago. It was over a foot in diameter and was starting to sting my corals. If it ever decided to go for a walk again it would have been trouble. I considered setting up another tank for it but I just don't have the time or space. Plus moving it out created space for more SPS, although most of the space has already been filled.

I must be doing something right, I have been impressed with my SPS color and growth as of late.

Ya my gold stripe maroon loved that nem but I sold off the clown a couple months prior to selling the anemone. It was too protective of the nem and wouldn't let me place any new coral close to it. It was flipping over acans and knocking down SPS. I considered a different, less agressive type of clown but didn't get any because knew I would probably end up having to re-home the carpet.

xtreme 07-26-2010 04:13 AM

Good timing getting 4 of the tangs racing along the front.

Hey, nice pics! Love that one of the tangs. They really do look like they're having a race.

Greenmaster 07-26-2010 08:11 AM

+1 on the race... and looks like the yellow tang was standing in the road and ran off at the last minute.

Glad to hear the carpet is doing well.

andestang 07-26-2010 06:35 PM

Great shots of the tangs ! I don't see the Achilles, is it still around ? Also see the Acans spreading out, time for some fraging :hungry: :)

xtreme 07-27-2010 01:49 AM

The achilles didn't make it. The existing group of tangs were to established and he never did settle in. The achilles is one of my all-time favourite fish, but unless I decide to re-home some of my current tangs, I will not be trying another one.

As for doing some fragging, I need to clear out what I already have in my sump/frag tank before I can start fragging some of my nicer stuff. Even with a 170g sump I'm out of space.

I love that green SPS.

lastlight 08-09-2010 05:39 AM

Think that green one is the same I got from John. Green/orange formosa or something. Mine certainly isn't that hairy or quite as vibrant tho! It looks dope.
