I browsed around bcquaria and here and found that there are a number of reefers around looking for 20 - 40 lbs of LR. I guess they are just like me not feeling easy to drive all to way to abby for the rocks.

How about, we all agree on a date and place that you take your rocks out to do a 'Rock Meet'. Of course, you could raise your price a bit to cover the transportation cost.

Lol. I have 500lbs of rock. The rock is $4/lb. Even if u only wanted 2 lbs.......it's worth the drive. Even the price of gas is cheaper out here. Again worth the drive. The price of rock is going for around $8/lb in the stores. Thanks for the suggestion but honestly, it's easier for people to come to me. For me to pack up the rock and take it somewhere just doesn't make sense.
Why do people think Abby is so far away? I don't think Van is too far away. Lol. Thanks again for the suggestion.

bump for cool looking lr, nice meeting you

Good thing these people that think that abbotsford is too far away don't live in calgary or something, it take like three hours to make it from one end of town to another. But seriously abbotsford is a 45 minute drive from Vancouver. I have spent that looking for parking in Vancouver.

Oh yeah, I still want some rock.

Mr.nintendo 10-16-2009 12:17 AM

I'm still waiting to see if someone from van drives down, I don't think it's far at all... with the exception that I don't drive or have a form of mobility hahaha.

I went and purchased a few pieces..well cured generally clean rock. Some pieces with visable aptaisia but not many. The pieces I took appeared, and still appear, clear of nasties but as a bonus came with porites, palys, zoas, favia and mushrooms. The tank doesn't look like it was recently set up. Other rock had no corals on it. Some lovely shapes for those with tanks 4 ft or more.

Need around 50 - 100 lbs, but no money more money for my tanks at the month.

bvlester 10-19-2009 02:29 AM

you still have the rock, atapsia is gone off the rock I got from you still getting it off the rock I got from a local guy. I got a couple pieces before I got yours. The coriline algea is comming back nicely on a couple of the pieces I got from you. I may want 1 more nice large piece but will not be down your way for a little bit yet. I have not had much work since going down there.
heres a free bump. good luck to you

Rides?

I live in Richmond but have to to to Langley and pick up my copods from Ian in the next day or two.I might be able to help someone out with a ride to Abby for LR its not that much farther for me. Plus because I live in richmond it would take me longer to cross no 3 road

brickwood 10-31-2009 04:40 PM

I know the meaning of life. Buy some rock and I'll tell you what it is.

brickwood 11-02-2009 08:04 PM

Well, it's Monday afternoon and pouring rain. It's dark and it's cold. Sitting on my couch trying to think of something to do and then it came to me. "I know" I thought to myself, "I'll sell some rock" next person to ask for 100 lbs gets it for $3/lb. One time deal.

brickwood 11-04-2009 06:19 PM

No takers? Lots still left.

brickwood 11-22-2009 04:00 AM

Thanks guys for making fun of me. lol. It's not surprising that it's taken this long to sell all this rock. I still have a couple hundred pounds left. I bet if I said I was throwing it out, I could have it all gone by tomorrow. Lol! It's a good price. Cheaper than most people. Anybody who looks at this thread, please just bump it up like these other fine people. Thanks again guys.

lastlight 11-22-2009 04:08 AM

Oh come on...just trying to share a little humour with ya. If you were local I would have snapped up a couple hundred pounds from you months ago. It's frustrating when stuff doesn't move...just trying to lighten the mood

bvlester 11-22-2009 04:32 AM
