Will you end up carrying the MP10? Any idea when it's being released in Canada? All I hear is 'summer'.

They have released a few in the states for "testing" purposes so as to not have the same issues possibly the first two lines had when they first came out. I will get an answer with a more definite timeline for you asap.

Unfortunately I think that even June is to long. i would like to close this off by May 15th. I think that's enough time for most who were planning to buy them to get on board. Sorry if that doesn't work for some.

Flow
The VorTech produces from 1,000 to 3,200 gallons per hour of low velocity gentle water current. The flow is so impressive and broad, that it actually creates an undertow along your sand bed. You will notice an equal amount of flow going out of your pump as you will see going back into it! Moreover, because the flow pattern is so wide, there is no reason to direction the flow, simply place the pump on the back or sides of your aquarium and flow will be created throughout the whole tank.

Energy Savings
The VorTech is one of the most efficient pumps on the market, and the new MP40W model is even more so, consuming only 28 watts to produce 3,200 gallons per hour. More importantly, all of the heat put out from the motor is outside of your aquarium, meaning you won’t have to invest in costly chillers to keep your tank cool.

Battery Backup Accessory

As for the MP 10's I do have information.....The launch of these is actually not expected to be until Sept 1. They have not had any allocated for international orders only USA and those are only Beta testing. we may see these in a pre-release limited quantities prior to Sept but again it will only be limited...like 4-6 units only!!! :redface:

I have asked that we be considered for some of the test units in Canada and pre release units. I will post when they are to become available but I can say it wont be for some time. Sorry:redface:

My 20 is going in my 28in. 30g cube. :smile: I figure it should be fine in there. Tried my 6080 stream but a bit to much but not lots.

Should be...you can turn it way down if needed. I love the Reef Crest mode!

The only reason I wanted the MP10 was the smaller size and lower price but like I said, I also don't want to get it and then have to leave a month or so later. I would like to enjoy the thing before I go!

But for size we are only talking about 3/4" on the wet side and 1/2" smaller than the 20 on the dry side. Not much at all really.

Well to ease everyones anxiety about the situation. I have spoken to Ecotech International Division and have told them what I was doing and this is only a one time thing. Every product needs to get the ball rolling and this is basically an introduction pricing till May 15th and ONLY pricing for those whos names get posted in this thread for the group buy. Some have PM'd me and asked they not be announced as buying so they do not cause friction between themselves and other possible vendors.

I didnt just do this for the fun of it ...I made sure we could do this...and again it is an MSRP that we will adhere to after the initial group buy has completed. Should Ecotech advance any offers in the future for us we will be sure to pass those on.

A day and a half left to get in on this. If you are looking at a brand new Vortech these are the best prices you will get for a long time.

I am confused about what happened with this order. A friend of mine and I both wanted the MP20. He paid for his and was told it was sent out a few days ago. But a few days ago I got a PM saying:

"I posted they were in day before yesterday. They hadnt come in as expected and will be here in the am!!!"

Whats the deal? Doesn't make sense at all.

I never heard back after this and now it's past the 15th.

Not sure, i got mine tomorrow (there at the greyhound depot but its closed to day.
