LOL that is so pathetically true. I was already looking for little spaces that could be filled in the tank. As long as nothing grows I'm safe

LOL I can so relate!! I got that box of frags yesterday and after the initial "rush" was over I had to find spots for them!! Lucky yours went on a rack, Sarah's went on the bottom, and mine joined the "jam fest" as my babyboo calls it! Im going to have to sell some off before I can add anymore! I feel an aussie acan sale coming in the near future.

hockey nut 02-11-2009 07:37 AM

Yeah!!! Christy is coming to the frag auction. How about you two girls? Any chance we will get to see you both?

Come on you know you want too!!!!!!!!

Ha Christy

There are some of us who are planning to sell some must have frags who are hoping that you buy a much larger tank before the auction.

Tom R

christyf5 02-11-2009 03:34 PM

LOL, I was hoping to have the larger tank set up before the auction, unfortunately that isn't going to happen.

Maybe Oceanic Corals will show up with lots of those frag racks. If he does I'm good to go

Justin, I can give you a ride out there if you'd like.

04scoobysti 02-16-2009 01:38 AM

Mark me down as a buyer too! Thanks!

Jason McK 02-16-2009 02:32 AM

To add to my post above the location was determined by volunteer! It is a big undertaking to have so many people at ones house. The fact it is Surrey is because that is who volunteered. If you want input into where dinners are or where events take place feel free to speak up.

christyf5 02-16-2009 02:33 AM

Well I, for one, would like to thank "Surrey" for volunteering . I can't wait!

Like dude, donchya know that this shindig'll be in the R man's "clubhouse"? He's got a rope ladder, tin can and string phone, and a "no girlz alloud" sign. It's like sooooooooo cool. When Tom's not looking I'm gonna swipe his Radioactive Man #1 comic.

JakartaOrBust 02-19-2009 06:24 AM

Coming as a buyer again.

Coming back from Kamloops again as a buyer (I'd come back as a seller, but I grow too fond of my corals). Thank you to the reef network for allowing us outsiders to still be a part of these events. Not only do I like coming to get frags, I always come out with a whole head full of new ideas and knowledge. The people that make up this network are a strong resource for ideas and solutions.

Jason McK 02-19-2009 02:14 PM

Sweet Look forward to seeing you guys.

The final plans for the auction were completed at last nights REEF NETWORK Dinner.

The auction will be held in the Clubhouse of my townhouse complex.

16655 64th Ave.
Surrey BC
V3S 3V1

the event will start at 11:00 am and the auction bidding will close at 3:00 pm Saturday February 28, 2009. It will probably take an hour or so to go through each of the items to determine the successful bidders.

Reef Network 02-19-2009 05:47 PM

First post has all updated information

The Reef Network Announces First Silent Frag Auction
Saturday February 28th

11:00 - 15:00

16655 64th Ave.
Surrey BC
V3S 3V1

Club house

Because of the cost of the building The Reef network is asking for $1 admission fee

In efforts to change it up and have some fun, it was decided to throw another Frag auction. This one will be quite different.
It will have the format of a silent auction.
Format:
- each seller is to e-mail a photo to The Reef Network of each mother colony they are selling frags of. Please indicate how many frags of each you will be selling
- Auction sheets along with the photos will be stationed around the room for all to enter their bids.
- Auction will end at predetermined time and winning bidders will collect their new Frags from the frag owner. Auctions will end through out the day. Each table will have a published end time

Is it too late to sign up as a seller and buyer?
I need to bring pics of the mother colony....is that the deal?
Prints or pics on my laptop is good enough?

Thanks

Jason McK 02-23-2009 12:13 AM

Never too Late Canuckgod420.

If you have the pics please e-mail them to reefnetwork@gmail.com with the quatity of frags and I will ensure you get prints on the day of the auction.

Thanks.

Ron99 02-24-2009 05:55 PM

I will try to make it as a buyer.

Jason McK 02-24-2009 07:58 PM

For those of you on the fence about coming, there are quite a few corals being auctioned ranging from Zoa, Palys, LPS, SPS, and even some Softies.

It's shaping up to be possibly the widest variety of coral so far

J

hockey nut 02-25-2009 10:50 PM

Just a note to mention some of the stuff I had planed on selling.

I'll be selling some pretty nice zoas/paly's , such as Red Lunar paly's / rare Red Devil paly's ( look kind of like Darth Maul zoaid.com )/ my ultra bright Pink Martini paly's aka ( AOG )/ a nice size frag of silver, green and purple Ausie acan, as well as a few other nice zoa frags Purples / blues etc.

Should be a fun day and I look forward to meeting everyone.

Thanks for putting this event on Reef Network.

JakartaOrBust 02-26-2009 12:54 AM

sweet

Acans? Man I have a feeling I will try to bid for that. I also have a feeling I will lose that bid war but I am going to try.

Chowder 02-26-2009 04:44 PM

I'll will be auctioning some Zoa/palys as well. Eagle Eyes, Radio Active Dragon Eyes, a mix of the two, Lunars, Purple death Palys,RPE's,OPEs,Watermellons and some green and yellow clove polyps. I will also have some SPS. I am bringing one frag of my purple Bonsai and a few others from my tank. Hope to see everyone there.

No you're not

Whatigot 02-26-2009 05:21 PM

who in their right reefing mind would miss this?
The only thing I'm worried about is i KNOW I'm one of the cheapest on this board, so a silent auction could mean trouble for my wallet when there are obviously going to be some pieces I will regret not going home with....

GreenSpottedPuffer 02-27-2009 01:45 AM

Are we suppose to bring food or drinks or anything?

LOL...I don't know how this thing works but seems rude to go to someones house empty handed :)

Hmmm...I guess this crowd would prefer frags huh...

Jason McK 02-27-2009 02:03 AM

LOL, There will be chips and Pop I think is $1

KPG007 02-27-2009 02:17 AM

I'll be there as a buyer.

Chowder 02-27-2009 02:17 AM

You just don't want to be the one that shows up with no money.

Jason McK 02-27-2009 02:26 AM

It's really really casual.
