Disaster
 

On the first of July my reef was finally at the stage where I thought that I would take some pictures and try to post them. So I did. I took some SPS frags into the LFS and people were arguing over who got them. This prompted me into thinking that maybe I was ready to post on Canreef. For the week of the 6th I was on hollidays on the island and worried the whole time. I came back 1 day early and everything was OK. What a relief! I went to bed that night and slept well for the first time in days. When I got up the next morning the first thing I did was check on the tank to discover a seal failure had dumped 45 gallons of water onto my wife's carpet and exposed most of my acros to the air for who knows how long. Panic! Everything that would fit went into the sump while I raced to Hidden Reef to pick up a temp tank. Thanks Mike! Two weeks later most of the acros still alive are showing a little colour again but man! It took everything I had not to quit. The 220 I bought at Christmas helped. When I got to work Monday And turned on my computer the first thing I saw was the shots of my tank. I quickly deleted them. Now I wish I hadn't

I picked up some new rock yesterday for my 23G build, but one piece was just a bit to big, so it has become my new "centerpiece" platform.. Still dealing with that red 'algae' tho as you can see.

Yeap it's the fu-man-chu. I do also have an orange frogfish in there to but he was hiding at the time. Thanks for the comments.

Oregon tort,,i got from Steve weast 3/4" frag 4 1/2" years ago and,,, cali tort ,,no it is not cali tort it is Tamarind tort,,,i do have Cali tort in the tank also it looks almost like it,,but the tamarind tort it more purple and blue not green and blue like Cali tort,i have them side by side bt cali and tamamrind,,i named this tort after my old restaurant in Redmond wa.i found this tort when it was brown with the blue tip size of 1" frag:biggrin:,,some time people in Wa call dang's tort,,
