Ha ha, this thread keeps popping up every once in a while, glad it's still going strong. Since we're on the subject of favourite spots (Moraine Lake is a classic), here's an update.
I love the mountains too, mostly in the winter though. Unlike my daughter and many of my friends, I never was much for going south in the winter to the sunny beaches of Mexico etc. I get sufficient sunshine during the Okanagan summers thank you. Winter is for skiing, preferably in the backcountry, after all BC (and parts of Alberta) have some of the best places in the world for that. Here are a couple of shots from this past Feb/March at Vista hut in the Esplanade Range just west of the Columbia River and the Rockies. Life is good.
