Fishes' Graveyard - reminds me how I never want to go back in there

Red Coral - our NW version of Gold is closed Sundays- can't wait to support that little shop tho

What is Fishes' Graveyard? Wai's?

Every fish I have ever bought from Wai's died. Their tanks are like these ultra clean rooms of death. (Perhaps it's his smoking :) ) Soon after I discovered Gold's and all has been well.

Last month I was taking my son on a Fish Store tour and I decided to stop by WAI's just to see if things had changed. They had not, but in a corner at the back of the store was this poor Purple Tang with BAD HLLE. (All of his tangs have HLLE, this one was the worst though.) Even my little guy said he was sad for it :(

So, I kind of got mad and bought it after I made him drop his $80 price tag. I took him home and we have been bringing him back to life. He gets Vitamin and Selcon enriched Spectrum Pellets about 6 times a day (Just a few) and Nori. Last week he started on Tang Heaven algae. I am happy to say that his HLLE is almost gone and he has never looked better.

Way to go.. good on ya for saving the fish. I have seen that PT and he was in rough, rough shape indeed. Glad he's recovering well :)

Thanks! Here he is now. I think you will agree, he looks a LOT better. Just a few small marks on his face left!

He told me he would be open on Sundays starting in the fall sometime. I'm still pretty new at salt water but of all the stores in town this is one of the best IMO. He has my support.

Ocean City, Fish's Graveyard, Red Coral... Blah blah blah. When's a decent store opening in the south?!!

I popped into Tank's a Lot to confirm that they were starting to carry SW again. They are. They had some skunk clowns, hawk fish, etc that were pretty well priced. Their reef crew items are priced way too high though. I don't think that they have the size and infrastructer to get the big orders that will help reduce their prices.

Hey Danny,

What kind of hawkfish did they have?

Hi there,

Just a quick heads up...

Red Coral has been open on Sundays for the last few weeks now. I know because I frequent the place a bit too often

When I was in the store tonight Freeman (owner) got a call from his supplier and told me that his coral/shrimp shipment had arrived.

Just thought I'd let anyone who was interested know.
