My fondest moment was when I first posted about Jasper's bucket list tank and the response from reefers on this site from across the country blew me away. I was only planning to bring up my own small system but then reefers on Canreef & BCA started offering/donating tank system, frags, fish, funds, equipment, supplies. It really renewed my faith in humans. I, Jasper and his whole family were truly amazed that so many people on here would care about someone they hadn't met and want to do something for a sick kid. Although Jasper only got to enjoy his Biocube 14 reef for 3 weeks, I know it made his last weeks happier as sometimes he could not go out to play but could sit in front of the tank. As a father of two little girls, it still breaks my heart to know he's gone, but in all the years I've been fish-keeping (37), saltwater-keeping (30) and Canreefing (9), participating in this project and seeing the whole reefing community rally around Jasper was by far my fondest fish-keeping & Canreef moment. Again, thanks everyone.

I don't think I can recall a favorite moment per say but I think everytime I meet a new fellow reefer for the first time is always great & I have meet sooooooo many great people, many many fav moments.

edit: damn just thought of a fond moment..............when Brad didn't ban me when we got into it after a friend for Calgary ( now Edmonton ) did get banned, thankfully he's back with us & Brad's still A+ in my books.

Ah you got away lucky. That was my first expulsion I remember it well there were a number of us in the penalty box that day. I have since learned 'don't throw rocks at Bradley'. :lol:

My fondest CanReef momory is one with Anthony; watching all the CanReef members pool together to put a smile on a sick kid's face was simply amazing. I had the humbling opportunity to be a part of this honorable project because of CanReef and Anthony's efforts. Even though Jasper only got to enjoy his tank for 3 short weeks before his untimely passing, I believe it made a difference for him. If CanReef can make a difference for a teen with terminal cancer, that is something quite remarkable.
