they licence dogs but not cats...
why is that? A cat some how worked its way into my chicken coop (despite my best efforts to make it predator proof). Managed to get it into a cage and have no way of knowing who it belongs to. Wondering if i should go door to door with it or just take it to the spca and hope the owner looks there. It only managed to get a rooster who was brave enough to protect his "girls". Not mad at the cat or even the owner, just wonder if it is possible to build a predator proof coop. Kind of thinking it might be a big hassle if i go door to door and somebody gets all confrontational and such. Anyways my point is if the cat had a licence or tag I could find out who it belongs to and make sure it gets home safely.
p.s. Chad - Glad your cat is home safe and sound. |
hah, my dogs arent worried...
the cats will motivate them to gets some exercise and maybe a good meal! oops, did i say that out loud?! as for the chicken coop cat... drop it off at the SPCA... anybody who has lost a pet will usually check there first. |

Even tho my cat is an indoor, I am now considering getting him tatooed. And yes, I think the SPCA is your best choice, I called there for a day to find out if someone had dropped him off..
on another note, I keep seeing the worst in people, someone was taking down our posters about our cat and tearing them up and throwing them on the ground. I just love our society these day  |
Microchips are a good alternative to tatooing. Don't know how expensive they are compared to tattoos.

Atleast with a Tattoo the person can immediately tell that this is a lost cat. |
