Uhh I did not know they did kind of Algae Scrubbers. I have an ATS though in my sump. it is a sheet of plastic 10" X 10" with LED lights and it grows algae like crazy. This may work for light fed tanks and I doubt it would export a lot nutrients since the space for algae growth is very limited.

very cool, an ats that is not incredibly hideous that's a plus! hope it works well in your system

So this is an in-sump setup, right? It's very slick. I'd like to see a link too, please!

Here is the link
http://www.reefshops.com/algae-turf-...ts-filter.html $45 shipped to Canada. It is in sump yes, they say provide the design and they will make it to the specs, but when i contacted him he said only if i buy 12 they will make it custom. So if there is enough interest for a gruop buy it may work, The guy has good english but use only simple words. |

If they can make it wider though it would increase surface area greatly without too much increase in cost (I think) |
You may also consider this T tube i feed both my Calc reactor and Algae Scrubber with one like that. Or get one localy if you can. Just an idea.
Oh, and also it takes a month to get here from China. http://www.reefshops.com/diy-tube-yo...eter-6mm-.html |
That's looks pretty good just have it wider using acrylic would make this a great DIY project
|
jesus guys, this is the one I saw in China, its very popular in my home country because they are super cheap and looks very effective. To be honest, the price that you linked is kinda over price compare to what I saw, they sell like $10-$15 each piece in China LMAO.

do you remove all the algae when cleaning or just half,as I've heard recommended
