It's not aptasia. And if anyone has pics of their aptasia that are pink or green, I Would love to see it. Brown is what you see first hand In tanks 99% of the time. The 1% I have made up as after doing tank maintenance I have never seen anything but brown so the possibility had to be rare. Things on google are often photoshopped. Like the corals people buy online then are surprised its different once it arrived. No offense meant, but it's not aptasia. It definitely is a paly of some sort. If you look at the oral disc it is very obvious. |

Grizz majano ? I still think you are spot on with the palys. I had a colony that looked like them. Does majano not have more rounded ends on the skirt? |

The OP is the only one who can see it clear enough to tell.
I'll be wrong, you can be right. |
You guys are all wrong.
It's an exalted neon dragon breath gobstopper and it's probably worth $75/molecule. I'd frag and cultivate ASAP. *But on a more serious note, it's probably just a solitary protopaly. They sting weaksauce corals like zoas, eat food out of the water column and can SLOWLY reproduce... Kill it if you must, just make sure you don't... you know, kill yourself doing it. |
