Thanks! It is a seahorse tank. Keeping it cool lowers than chance of infections, which seahorses are susceptible to. 73-74 F is pretty common for seahorse tanks.
I do have plenty of gorgonians, soft corals (colt coral, mushrooms, rics), and a couple of LPS (Acans) that have adapted to the lower temperature with no problems.
I also find cyanobacteria does not grow at the low temp, which was an unexpected benefit.
