ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

sounds goood tryy it soon so like say 10 every week???

Dale D 04-11-2004 05:47 AM

That may be alittle too often. But, a 5 gallon a week water change on a 80 gallon predator tank is not alot.

What do you have for substrate. A substrate that is made up of too course of material will have alot of void space between the pieces and trap alot of junk that will break down and become algea food if it is not syphoned out.

so 5 gal a week is to little but ten is too much???
so 7 or 6 or 8 or 9 or maybe 6.5??????

i have fine gravel sith some corse but not alot

Start with 2 five gallon water changes a week, 3 to 4 days apart and see if it helps after a month or 2.

The only thing with water changes is that they are only as good as the source water you are using. If you are using tap water and there is no change, then you may have to try using RO or DI water.

Just a thought, my blue tang ate a lot of hair algae so i have virtually none now. But you might not want to add another fish because of your biolaod.
