Curious to see how much bigger they are inside.

Isn't the escape done on the frame of a focus? It definatly looks more car-ish then before.

Definitely more carish but still roomy

Congrats

 Thankfully Ford was big enough to admit their mistake (unlike Toyota) and sent out a recall and fixed the problem right away http://www.montrealgazette.com/busin...718/story.html

Haha yes they did at least admit it! We went to a dealership around here to look for 1, and had a few guys tell us not to touch them.

Bet it will be like when they new escape came out, hard to find to actually look at, did you have to wait for this one to come in or was it just on the lot? Our big thing is fitting 2 dog crates side by side in the back, we can in our older focus hatch back, but the escapes were all too short and the back door slammed into them. They fit perfect in the escape and edge, but it would be nice to get something smaller down the road. When the seats fold down, does it go totally flat or is there a bump/slant? was hard to tell in the video.

Sorry Im stealing the glory of you getting a new car haha, it sure does look nice. Its so clean I would be afraid to drive it and get it dirty.

It's one of the bigger dealerships in Edmonton so they had several on the lot to look at, the one I got was off the lot. I will say though when I was back there today to sign the final finance papers I saw that there wasn't nearly as many as there had been so I guess they are selling quickly.

The back seats do fold fairly flat, almost no bump/slant. The neat feature of them is that there is a button on the side of the headrest, which you push to make the headrest fold down, then you pull a lever and the seat folds flat. So much nicer then fighting with the seat to pull the headrest off. I'll try to get pic's when it's light out and I have time. Not sure if dog crates would fit, guess it would depend on their size. Smaller ones should and maybe med. sized ones but I don't think large ones would.

Very Nice ride Laurie! I took a Titanium version home the other day and it was pretty amazing to play with for the night. Showed my neighbor (on his 3rd CRV) and he said he can't see why he'd buy another Honda when this is available.

ford is making some good looking cars these days , i like it. The fire thing is probably very minor , a missplaced piece of insulation that could , maybe one day catch fire . And for the record we sent nasa all the data from all the cars that crashed and they couldent find anything wrong , it was people with too many floormats crammed under there gas pedal , and out of 60 people that had problems no one though to step on the brakes ! Thats what you get when the average age of a toy buyer is about the same as many old growth forests .

Im a ford fan.....cant say I like the new style of the escape as much though. I do like the explorer's new look though.

Its still very nice , congrats!
