Can Tony and I tag along riding our 40 lb Freeride / DH bikes? :D

Congratulations on the new bike!

An electric motor is probably twice the weight of the bike.

I'm only doing 15kms every 2nd day, I should be up to 20-25 kms in a couple of weeks.

Unlike some "people" a Bike doesn't need 600 CC's to move it and the rider.

Anyhow, I got into Cycling to improve myself not to show off. However, once I get up to doing longer distances, I think I'm going to do the Ride to Conquer Cancer.

Thanks!

Haha! I rode my mountain bike the other day, and it felt sooo weird that it took me a couple mins to get used to it.

We have my Mtn bike and my wife's city bike set up with seats for the kids. We went for a leisurely 10.5 kms ride last week.

Wow Ken nice bike, please refrain from mentioning carbon anything as you make me jealous.... When my wife asked me what ring I wanted for our wedding bands guess what I said?? Carbon with a fat diamond inset, unfortunately we settled on black tungsten carbide....

My best friend did the ride to conquer cancer from Seattle to Oregon last year on his mountain bike, it wasn't the lightest bike but he finished, so I have faith you can do it too....

I had to trade in my downhill bike that weighed alot so much it was hard to pick up with one hand, I bought a lighter mountain bike and zip around the seawall and Stanley park alot easier but wouldn't mind getting a lighter Raleigh bike so I can attemp to ride further distances.... I wanna ride from Richmond to Stanley park which I figure should be around 35k if you go marine through Ubc and then over the burrard and around Stanley park. You're so lucky you live by science world you can just hall around the seawall and cut across to Canada place....

We should do a ride sometime, I'll skytrain to cambie and we could do the seawall all the way around Vancouver to kits!

I did the sea wall to kits on my first ride, it's a 25 min leisure ride. I fell once on Cornwall at the first light, I quickly learned how to get used to bring clipped into the pedals. Haha!

My house to 2nd Beach is less than 15 mins, but there's a lot of pedestrians that walk in the bike lane.

My next ride is to Stanley Park and do the whole sea wall around it. It should be about a 25 km ride.
