That blows man , atleast you are able to learn from your mistakes. No more skimmer effluent hoses down the drain ya hear?

Thanks man. I'm hoping that's not the case. I can't explain it, but the fish didn't seem fazed in the slightest, they were just as active and hungry and zippy as ever. My Bengali Cardinals are still mouth brooding, and my male is behaving like he wants to spawn. I essentially gave them all a 5 day hypo treatment, so hopefully any free floating nasties got nuked in the process.

Thats what happens when they set the timer bars for your alk and vodka dosing wrong and dose 3g of alk and 26oz of VSV in less then 12 hrs... And this pic was taken a week later...
Over $5k in dead corals and 90% fish death

Oh thank god that wasn't me. If I had come home tomorrow I think that's what I'd have been looking at though.

well I am coming to Edmonton this weekend ;)

I got the salinity up to 1.022. I think I'm going to give it a rest for the night, I don't want to stress things out any more. I figure the pieces that are right on the edge will either be glowing white skeletons tomorrow, or they won't be. Sigh.

Thanks for all the support friends.

word man. I should have known better. The double edged sword of a giant cadillac of a skimmer is that it's both capable of draining a small ocean of water, and the collection cup is that much bigger an more disgusting to clean, so no one else wants to!
