took him out and sepent a while scrubing and even scraping him off and found a few snails:cry: so hopefuly got them all. i will see how he looks in the evening when the lights com back on if he isnt looking any better should i go ahead with a fw dip

Ifs its parasitic snails a freshwater dip won't work. You'll need to keep checking and cleaning the clam of snails to make sure that you get them all and any future generations that they may have started.

A melonarous wrasse or coris wrasse would be a huge help with parisiric snails

i did some more reading last night and found out that six-line wrasse will go after those snails. i have one in the 34g do you think he would get along with the others. im a little leery of adding another fish to the tank with the upcoming upgrade in the next month or so.

Six lines can be very territorial and aggressive towards other wrasses. So it might harass your cleaner wrasse. Pretty much any wrasse from the genus Halichoeres may eat these snails the same as a six line. But for some reason the six lines are mentioned far more often.

It's the cleaner wrasse for sure. Had that same problem and when I took out the cleaner, it's all good
