however from what i have seen they are up to 400 bucks for frags and i got mine for 5 bucks haha either im really really lucky or it is possibly something else

I was having the same debate. They're really hard to tell apart without seeing the skeleton. The large septa at the growth edge had me leaning toward oxypora but it is rather meaty looking. You've got me second guessing myself.

i have 6 chalices now and i feel that it is one of the less meaty of them it the same "meatiness" as my Indian warpaint chalice if that helps at all

No, I don't follow Chalices' common names much, and a Google search doesn't come up with anything for "Indian Warpaint Chalice coral". Whatever genus it is, it is very happy.

$400 in the states ..ya I believe that. Either way ....you are VERY VERY lucky with that piece that is for sure. That is one special chalice.

Oxy or echino..its still a chalice.

Sorry myka I meant just a warpaint chalice. I looked but I'm not sure of the genus name. It's the dark red with bright blue.

I can't believe how much a chalice like this goes for
