Well this is interesting...the guy smiling in the kitchen is the same guy drilling and installing the aquascape. Is it possible he did work on this? Could be the install company owner or something but perhaps this guy is a little more hands-on than some might assume?

Meh, I've seen worse. I could see the fish doing well in there if cared for appropriately. The coral scape, yeah, real corals are cooler but at least these can't RTN. The biggest drawback I see is just getting in there to blast out the crud that will grow on surfaces, it looks pretty tight. But if you accept that to keep it shiny someone has to get in there with SCUBA or SNUBA gear and a toothbrush to scrub away ... then have at it.

Overall I'm not terribly fond of gimmick tanks like say cylinder tanks. When I see cylinder tanks even at public aquariums and my reaction is usually one of "Why? Why a cylinder? It's an interesting challenge but now I can't see the animals inside without visual distortion." ... Seems to me just because something is technically acheivable sometimes isn't reason enough to do it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. He seems to like his FUGLY tank.
