I had a RIO32HF prior to my Mag 9.5, and it was way over rated. This was one that was recommended to me by an LFS trying to make a few extra bucks rather than give me one that was property rated.
As riceboy pointed out, if you run a too powerfull of pump, you are more likely to get micro bubbles, and will have a lot louder splashing effect from your return. Also, my skimmer has worked a lot better since getting the lesser pump. |
