thanks for the info about the mean wells and this is something I will have to consider in the future. it will be interesting to get this up and running and put it to the test of a PAR metre (ordered). The way I am laying ot out I should be able to add more Leds should I have to little light. I have also already changed the way I am planning to wire the LEd's already so i have more drivers than needed this should reduce the start-up load significantly for the time being. [i] will certainly place an in line fuse in each string of lights and a resistor as well for measuring current drawn through each cicuit.

Just a quick rant on the sites that offer "kits"
the problem with them is you are stuck to what they have decided is best. So what that means is they have decided that those XR-E are what you should get and the 60-48 is the driver you should get. Sure it might make it easier for you, but that was the trend in 2008. After you build this, look around, don't get cookie cuttered. When you are finished with this build you should see optics for XM-Ls and they should be main stream, so I would recommend heading that direction. but take this with a grain of salt since im a bit bias because I sell LEDs now. |

Can someone step me through the wiring of the eln 60-48D...on 1 end I have 2 wire that go to the 110V AC and the other has 4 wires. Do 2 of these go to the LEDs and the other 2 get connected to the rj45 and then my controller?
Am I way off base here? Help a newb out please. Ok found this http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...ght=eln+60+48d |
