Ditto!! I didn't believe that this tank was actually in Calgary but if it is I need more info on it !! See this is exactly why I started this thread. I figure someone must know someone that knows someone who has a gigantic tank, but 5000g ?!?! Holy mother Mary!!

Alot of time people with that much money they have someone who is taking care of it and they don't have time to waste sitting on thier butts surfing like us poor reefer's do... they are out eating caviar and driking Don perri and sitting in the limo

Which is why us poor slobs need to hear about these tanks! :D. I know they are out there!

Biggest private tank I've seen in town is a 10' 500g. But I have also heard rumors of a couple 1000g+ systems here and I'd love to see em.

5000 is unimaginable........ 12 X 12 X 4 tall is only 4300 gallons.

Cheers,
Vic

The tank that Coleus pointed us to was at least 6' tall!!! :surprise:

I think it was someone at Golds who has told me a few times a person with either a 16 footer or 1600 gallon tank buys a lot of their stock. I could be wrong on both counts but I've heard rumours like that.

For every person willing to share system info with us there are probably 20 that don't. There are for sure many tanks out there we'll never hear of, which is too bad if you think about the potential those people have to add to the knowledge base, whether they're responsible for the care and upkeep of their tank themselves or whether it's farmed out (either way).

5000 gallons - does make me wonder if that's a full-on reef tank or just one heck of a FOWLR. It's good stuff either way but you rarely see really large REEF systems. I know I sold a couple fish to a fella who had a huge system a couple years ago but it was FOWLR (incidentally he is on Canreef but never posts, and I wonder how many people fit into that category).

How come the tank linked to earlier was removed? A 6' tall tank? I'd have loved to see some details?

Sorry for messing this thread up. :-(, but if you really want to know the tank then yes indeed it got ppl come out and clean it, it is FO tank and it have huge buffer and lots of angels and tangs and all other fishes. If i have to guess it is 13x10x6 i think. It takes up the whole wall
