That's a beautiful nem and a detailed brain dump by Tony. Looking forward to more and welcome back to the realm of the tank journal Justin!
Where on earth are you doing your cutting? You have a parkade there don't you? |

Thanks for the info Tony. I guess the reason I had said that haddoni were less light loving is that I have found a fair amount of people that have successfully kept them alive for over a year with T5's and PC's, compared to only MH's with gigantea's.
That's nice that you have a workshop room in your building GreenSpottedPuffer! I'd also read that if you can get a carpet past the one year mark, they become very forgiving with the system they are living in. |
I vote conspiracy theory....Brett hassles until all of a sudden some Canreefers from "back in the day" start reappearing and new build threads emerge....yep, conspiracy.
Having said that....can't figgen wait to see this progress. Loved the old build thread, sure I'll love this one too! |
Whatever the case may be it's good to have you two full-time suckas BACK and building!
So you think both usernames are MINE? As in you're actually ME? If this is true did your fake user achieve it's own consciousness or something? Ok I'm bored and should be working. Bye. |
Hi Justin. Good to have you back posting.

Stand
Simple MDF stand took much longer than I had hoped. Finally done.
Will move the light over from the 75 to the cube this afternoon and move the fish/corals later tonight or tomorrow morning. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...h/IMG_9633.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...h/IMG_9634.jpg |
The stand is modeled after ELOS. Simple. Nice that with a rimless you can have the door flush with the front of the tank. So when open the tank hangs off the edge of the stand 3/4". I dislike when doors stick out from the stand and out from under the tank.
All 3/4" (sealed) MDF, nothing else. Glued and screwed. Cost about $40 to make. $20 to spray gloss white. Much cheaper than ELOS (theirs would be even nicer though). |
Looks hella hot Justin. Fits into the place very well.
