As for the Oilers, they should be much improved and exciting to watch with all the youthful talent. Still a few years away though. Won't make the playoffs IMO.
I think the Flames will make the playoffs in the 7th or 8th position, but I doubt they'll make it through the 1st round. (Especially so, if they have to play Vancouver.)

This ruling tomorrow could have a huge impact on a few teams seasons. Personally, I think this cap circumvention crap should be eliminated. I much prefer to see parity in a league.

Being a Canuck fan I knew that, but what I really think he was saying with " but top 5 in offence...lets not get carried away here" was that he doesn'y know what he is talking about and only follows his team.

I agree, it's gotta be a level playing field. I don't blame New Jersey for being ****ed. You can't allow Vancouver, Chicago and whoever else to sign stars to these long term contracts to cheat the cap and then suddenly decide the Devils can't do it.

Awww Doug! Sucks to not have a team anymore. Do you cheer for the Coyotes?

I still cant believe that there are teams in the southern states. Like FLA and TB cant GIVE away tickets. But there are cities in Canada and a few states that would kill for a franchise and have every game sold out before the team even finished packing their bags!

Doesn't make a lot of sense does it? It's time Bettman let it go. It's not gonna happen! The majority of Americans aren't interested in hockey.
