I have a box in Blaine and I live 5 minutes from the 176th street truck crossing so having it shipped there is no problem. But thanks for the offer. So what do you tell them at the border and have they ever brought you in to check the shipment or given you any trouble with livestock?

I tell them the truth, that its tropical salt water aquarium fish food, but you must have a valid invoice for it. As for other livestock, as long as its not on the CITIES list, I just declare it and state that I have checked the list and its not on it, and there is no problem. Just don't try and be cute or evasive, 98% of the customs officers are decent and work with you. I got brought in once to check the shipment but was only delayed about 15 minutes. As long as you are up front with them you shouldn't have a problem. Make sure the invoice is clear and precise listing detailed names, an invoice saying 3 SW fish $80.00 will definitely get you pulled in as it looks evasive.
Best of Luck
