LOL, no worries! And thanks to you for letting Ken know I was on the hunt for one of these! He's a bit shy so far but I love him already. Its fun looking for him in the tank and then finding him holed up right in front of me, staring at me the whole time I'm looking. Cracks me up every time

I've put netting over top of the tank so far, its some sort of "keep fish in and birds out" type netting with only a 3/4" opening. I've stretched it some so the holes are even smaller. It hardly reduces the lighting at all and hopefully will keep him from ejecting himself out of the tank :twised:

Sounds like the netting should work  Ken is wonderful, I knew he'd have no problem getting your fish to you. I'm happy to hear you like him so much  I know I love looking for my little fish in my big tank, it's always fun when you find them.

Nice fish. Especially if he has character.
Christy, where did you find that netting? How did you install it over the tank?
Any pics available?
Thanks

My husband brought it home from work but its commonly found at garden centers. I don't know if you guys have Buckerfields there but they have it too (they're a feed supply/garden/yard store.

Currently I just have it strategically draped over the tank using a couple of brackets as tightening points. I'm going to build a wooden frame to staple it onto so I can remove it when I need to. No pics yet, its pretty ghetto looking right now.

Last night I had a dream that the poor little bugger gillnetted himself trying to jump out so I think I might be on the hunt for some smaller mesh (for my own sanity at least )

You know you're too deep into it when your dreams involve finding ways your fish have found to commit harikari .. I know at least 20% of my dreams tend to be nightmares like that too these days. Not good. At least this a good relaxing hobby to relieve stress.

My dreams tend to involve beautiful mermaids coming on to me but all I seem to do in the dream is check them out for white spots and pop eyes!

Come on Laurie. We know you dream about Mermen. After all, what could be better than a handsome man with gills. And as a bonus, he's easy to cook for: Mysis and pellets.
